Our Customer Care Team

Although we try to get it right 100% of the time, occasionally things go wrong, however we have a dedicated Customer Care team on hand Monday to Saturday to give you the best possible service in the event of a problem. Whether it’s an issue with delivery, a damaged item or a faulty product we are here to help. We see Customer Care as a very important element of your buying experience because although we try our best to make sure everything goes smoothly, we also want you to know that we’re here to help on the odd occasion that it doesn’t. We also want to make sure that Appliance City is your first port of call next time you need an appliance, and that you’re happy to recommend us to friends & family.

Appliance Faults

From time to time faults can develop – in the event that your appliance does develop a fault within the warranty period we can arrange for an engineer to visit your property to repair the item free of charge within your manufacturer’s warranty guidelines. However, most manufacturers will charge a callout fee where no fault is found or where the product has not been used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Delivery Issues

In the unlikely event of there being a problem with one of your appliances either on, or after delivery, you can rest assured that we have a dedicated customer service team working Monday to Saturday to look after your every need. We understand that it’s not always possible to check your appliance at the time of delivery, however we ask that you inspect it within two days of delivery to ensure that any issues can be resolved quickly.

Manufacturer contact details

If you have a mechanical fault with your appliance which is covered by the Manufacturer’s warranty you can either give our Customer care team a call or contact the Manufacturer directly and they will arrange a service visit. Please check your warranty card for their contact information, many of which allow you to book a visit on their website. Alternatively feel free to drop an e-mail to our Customer Care team at customercare@continentalappliances.co.uk and we’ll be happy to book it on your behalf.

How will I know when my appliance will arrive?

Delivery of stock items to most UK postcodes is 4-6 working days and you can choose your delivery date at checkout. We will contact you the day before delivery with a two hour time slot, and on the day, we will also contact you as we’re leaving the prior delivery. Please be aware that we deliver between 10am and 6pm so if you have any specific time constraints please get in touch with our customer service team and we will do our best to accommodate.

Items which are marked ‘Awaiting Stock’ are not in stock in our warehouse but we may have stock on order with the Manufacturer. Feel free to call our Sales Team to discuss availability or alternatively look for items which are marked ‘In Stock’ as they are available for immediate delivery.

If you wish to place an order for an item which we do not have in stock we are happy to take a small deposit over the telephone to secure the order, then once the item arrives in our warehouse we’ll call you to arrange delivery and settle the balance.

Do you connect my appliances?

We offer a wet connection service on freestanding washing machines, washer dryers, dishwashers and American style fridge freezers. We also offer installation services for integrated appliances, cookers and built in ovens through our trusted installation partners. Please note connection must be to existing pipework and electrical points which are easily accessible.

I don’t need my goods yet…

We understand you may be in the middle of a move, renovation or new build so give us a call and we can secure your order with a small deposit, this will guarantee the prices at the point of order and protect you against any price increases. Unfortunately due to the current situation with availability and warehouse space the maximum length of time we can reserve the stock for is eight weeks.

Can you recycle my old appliance?

If you have selected our recycling service, all we ask is that the old machine is disconnected from all supplies prior to our arrival, and that its cleaned down and ready for collection at the delivery point. If for some reason the item is not available for collection when we get there don’t worry, just give us a call and we’ll happily refund your recycling fee.

Alternatively we also offer a free in store take back of your old electrical appliance on a like for like basis, so if it’s more convenient you can bring it to our premises within 28 days of delivery and we’ll recycle it for you at no cost.
